Why should we even celebrate water this teacher’s day? What lessons has water taught us? Scientifically, water is a liquid that can take the shape of any container you pour in. Water is one of the five elements which is the most simple but with so many features like shapeless, colorless, odorless and transparent. Water works with a flow. While it can pave a way to slip through your fingers, on the other hand it can hold massive tonnes of ships on it. So, why not this teacher’s day? Let's look at some life lessons we can learn from water.
- Clarity through calmness
Take this- If you have a glass of water mixed with salt, you have salt water. When you stir it, all the salt gets mixed with the water and it gets a little cloudy. But if you allow the water a few minutes without stirring, all the salt particles will settle down in the bottom and you will be left with clear water. Now, replace water with mind. It is only when clarity is achieved when you mind is calm enough and you let your emotions and worry settle down.
- Flexibility is unbeatable
There really is nothing flexible or bendable like water. If you put a stone or anything hard in front of the water, it will bend its way and move around the stone. This will happen no matter what you put through in its way. Similarly when the mind is flexible no matter what will happen, it will eventually find a way to solve and reach the destination.
- Slow and Steady wins the race
Water will surely flow whether you block it or not. Water has this property of changing its speed and velocity according to the situation. Since it is flexible, even if it is slow it will reach the potential whatever maybe. It is the water which is persistent and cuts through the rocks and mud. This shows that success is not perfection but efforts that are persistent and driven.
